The Dutch Colonial Inn Bed and Breakfast originated as a family residence. The initial structure, built in 1928, served as a wedding gift for the bride and groom. Now, over 70 years later, we offer several of our suites as honeymoon suites and special romantic getaways!

The warmth of the innkeepers permeates the home. Lovely antiques and furnishings from the 1930's color the area. From a unique dental cabinet lovingly restored by the owner's son, to a trio of mahogany corner china cabinets, the stunning appointments cause admiring glances and stir fond memories.

Spacious common areas include a delightful wicker-clad sun porch and a living room on the formal side, yet cozy enough to unwind in. Or relax in an airy music room which opens to a private, side patio bursting with seasonal floral offerings, and birds who splash about uninhibited in the bird bath. Don't forget the front porch with white wooden rockers which invite you to relax and rock as the world walks by. Or spend the evening in the elegant parlor, with leather armchairs so comfortable you won't want to leave, adjacent the guest rooms on the second floor. The home has central air conditioning to ensure comfort even on humid, summer days.

Check in after 3 p.m. Check out by 11 a.m. For reservations we request a $50.00 deposit payable by credit card, or check, mailed within 24 hours. We will refund your deposit (less a $10.00 processing fee) if you cancel at least 10 days prior to your arrival date, or if your room can be rented for the entire stay booked. In the event of a short cancellation, that is, within the 10 days prior to your reservation, we will make every attempt to fill your reserved room. However, if we are unable to fill your room, we reserve the right to charge you for the full stay requested. We require a two night minimum stay in most rooms on most weekends, and three nights on some holiday weekends. We are open all year - consider visiting during the winter holiday season as our decoration and seasonal touches light up the Inn, literally! Smoke free, pet free environment. Adult-oriented atmosphere. All rates are determined by single or double occupancy (when reserving suites for more than two persons, expect an additional $20.00 fee), include a full breakfast, and are subject to Michigan sales tax. Gift certificates are always available. Corporate rates (Sunday-Thursday) are available for the business traveler.
