If you're looking for the luxury of a fine hotel but want the privacy of a lakefront cottage in the woods, look no further. Judy's Place will pamper your every need, provide the solitude you seek, and put you close to all area activities.

It was built about five years ago by Judy Jacobson, one of the most exuberant, friendly and warm people you could ever want to meet. She likes comfort, quality, activity and good friends. She also has impeccable taste. The cottage is a reflection of Judy.

A few miles off the main road to Interlochen on a densely wooded, unpaved side street of large residential and vacation homes, you'll find Judy's Place. The light pine log cottage is impressive against the dark colors of tall pines and trees, and its one plus acres of land will surround you in solitude and nature.

As you enter the home from its large front deck (equipped with handicap ramp), you'll be welcomed by the bright and airy great room punctuated by high-peaked ceiling, suspended ceiling fan, and large stone fireplace. The two overstuffed sofas and chairs are the type you could sit in for days without ever wanting to leave. Naturally we can't forget the TV, VCR and stereo equipment which sits just to the right of the fireplace.

The entire home is carpeted in rich Berber and the decor perfectly blends in a continued theme of quality, comfort and friendly warmth. You'll want to take note of Judy's interesting wall hangings which reflect Michigan's history and natural wonders.

On either side of the great room and directly back, you'll find the four bedrooms. Each offers either king, queen or twin beds and ceiling fans. The two master bedrooms have a private bath - the two smaller rooms share a bath. It goes without saying the beds are very comfortable and made for sleeping in late.

The kitchen is small, efficient and fully equipped. In the adjoining dining area, a large oak table faces the windows and doorwall overlooking the deck and wooded grounds. An outside path takes you to water's edge where you'll find a firepit ready for roasting marshmallows as the sunsets. Later, as the evening cools, what better way for friends or family to relax than in the invigorating bubbles of the spacious and private hot tub located right off the back deck.

For those who have been dreaming of a beautiful log cottage by the lake, it's time to stop dreaming, you've found it - Judy's Place.
